Southern Supper goes outside, Ya'll, with Little Magic Sam Taylor, as the musical guest!! Stage 3 of Reopening has allowed us to host events, this will be the first of a 'four event series' by Mississippi Queen Foods. This is an outdoor event, at a private residence, approximately 30 minutes from Hamilton. Only 60 seats will be sold, to allow for a safe, and properly distanced event.
The ticket price includes 'food, music, and gratuity, for the food service'. Please note the food is served at the same time as the music. Little Magic Sam Taylor will be a three piece band- guitar, keyboard, and harmonica. Their bio can be found at the bottom of the page.
Here are the event details...... -Event is located at 404 Big Creek Road, Brant, Ontario. The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 8th, 6:00-8:00. (RAIN DATE for this event will be Saturday, August 15th). - Seats are sold 'by the table', in groups of 2 and larger. (No single diners). These are picnic tables. The table set up will allow for more than 6' of distance from other tables, set up in a diagonal pattern, to allow for clear sight lines, from all tables.
- Tickets are $80 per person (Price includes for food, music, gratuity on food service, and HST). $160 if you are buying for 2 people. $480 if you are buying a table of 6, or $320 if you are buying a table of 4. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A NON-REFUNDABLE PURCHASE. If weather prevents the event happening on the 8th, we will reschedule to Saturday, August 15th.
- How to buy tickets? Etransfer is the preferred method of payment. Please contact me, first, to confirm availability of space, and especially to let me know if you intend to etransfer funds. (The idea is to avoid paying credit card and Pay Pal fees, on purchases).
- Anyone providing food/table service, or handling food, will wear a mask and gloves, properly, at all times. Hand sanitizer will be on each table for guests to use. There will be a 'porto potty' with hand wash station available.
- It is assumed that all people at your table are part of your 'bubble'. Platters of food will NOT be shared from 'table to table'. However, there will be platters and bowls of food, to be shared, at your table, of seats, all purchased together. Just to confirm- your group will NOT be combined, at a table, with any other group, than your own party.
-Water pitchers (for each table) will be available on all of the tables, as well as glasses for the water. Cafe du Monde Coffee & Chicory will be served during dessert. (Salt, pepper, cream, and sugar will not be shared around the event. These items will be pre-packaged for 'individual use').
- This is a BYOB event (Bring your own bottle, for wine, beer, spirits, ice, mixers, and including any other non-alcoholic drinks, you may want).
- Please note the menu for this event is Blackened Chicken; Chicken & Sausage Jambalaya; Coleslaw with Remoulade Dressing; Buttermilk Biscuits; Pecan Pie; & Cafe du Monde Coffee & Chicory. PLEASE NOTE we are unable to accommodate any special dietary requests for this event.
- The food and music will start at 6:00, and go until 8:00. We will have a short break in between two sets of music.
Little Magic Sam Taylor: 'When the world gets down on Little Magic Sam, he gets down on a Les Paul. Hailing from St.Thomas, ON, Sam Taylor is a born entertainer with a penchant for raw blues music, and lyrics that bely someone much older than his 27 years. With an enormous stage presence, it comes as no surprise that this multi-talented singer/songwriter has been performing internationally since the age of 7. After graduating from Fanshawe College with a diploma in Music Industry Arts, Sam headed into EMAC Studios with producer Moe Berg (of Pursuit of Happiness) on two original songs; Thought of Leaving and Loaded Gun, both of which received airplay across Southern Ontario. Loaded Gun has also been featured in the tv shows Haven, Cracked, and Degrassi. Sam’s versatile and honest songwriting gives his music the emotional edge that sets him apart as a talented up and comer. His songwriting can be heard on his collaborations with other Canadian recording artists, the most notable being Chad Price. He has also shared the stage with Chuck Leavell (Rolling Stones), Gordon Lightfoot, and Whitehorse. Little Magic Sam was thrilled to get the opportunity to record what would become his debut E.P. at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, TN. Look for Little Magic Sam’s new E.P. on all major music platforms, CD and limited edition vinyl as of February 21st, 2019. Little Magic Sam currently resides in Toronto where he performs regularly across the city, including a monthly residency at Sauce on the Danforth'.
